Know Your Numbers Health Screenings

Do you know your numbers?

Since 2014, the Stratford Health Department has been offering “Know Your Numbers” (KYN) health screenings to residents.  The screenings provide residents the opportunity to obtain information about their health status and learn ways to reduce their risks for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes. In addition, Health Department staff works to link uninsured or under-insured residents with elevated numbers with access to affordable follow-up care.

Each February, in honor of American Heart Month, the Stratford Health Department hosts KYN screenings in different locations throughout town. However, starting in 2017 we have begun to offer screenings at our facility located at 468 Birdseye Street the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  

Screenings are $10.00 and by appointment only. Screenings include:

• Blood Pressure
• Cholesterol
• Blood Sugar
• Waist Circumference
• Body Mass Index (BMI)
• Nutrition Counseling
