PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Stratford’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Unit 807 was dispatched to a call at 235 Parkway Drive on March 6, 2007; and
WHEREAS, upon arrival, members of Stratford’s EMS learned that a group of four youths, Tyler Gruttadauria, James Murphy, Mike Pulaski and Christopher Whalen had made the call to 911 after noticing an 87-year-old woman in her car for over eight hours on one of the coldest winter days; and
WHEREAS, this prompt action by Tyler Gruttadauria, James Murphy, Mike Pulaski and Christopher Whalen, helped to save the woman’s life; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby proclaim Monday, April 9, 2007 as Tyler Gruttadauria, James Murphy, Mike Pulaski and Christopher Whelan Day in the Town of Stratford and ask all members of our community to recognize their heroic efforts in saving a citizen’s life.
