PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, The Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team finished the 2006 season with an outstanding regular season record of 9-2, including winning the Harvey Manning Trophy by beating cross town athletic rival and 2006 Class L State Champion, Bunnell High School; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team were runner’s up in the 2006 Class SS Football Playoffs; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team is led by Head Coach Duane Shirden; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team members are to be commended for not only their athletic accomplishments but for their exemplary sportsmanship.

THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby declare Wednesday, February 14, 2007 as the Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team Day in the Town of Stratford and ask all townspeople to congratulate the team members and Head Coach Duane Shirden.
