PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, The Stratford High Steppers finished second place and won Best Choreography in the Dance & Cheer Competition held at Central Connecticut State University; and
WHEREAS, The Stratford High School High Steppers placed second in the South West Conference Dance Competition held at New Milford High School; and
WHEREAS, The Stratford High Steppers finished third in the “Compete for the Cure” dance event held at Torrington High School; and
WHEREAS, The Stratford High Steppers had a wonderful two-sport season, providing routines for pep assemblies, football and basketball games and in their competition season; and
WHEREAS, The Stratford High Steppers are coached by Kim Sharnick and Kim Rosenbaum; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Stratford High Steppers are to be commended for not only their athletic accomplishments but for their exemplary sportsmanship.
THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby declare Friday, June 22, 2007 as the Stratford High School High Steppers Day in the Town of Stratford and ask all townspeople to congratulate the team members and coaches Kim Sharnick and Kim Rosenbaum.
