PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Sunset Shores Adult Day Health Center in Stratford, Connecticut in partnership with the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Centers and the National Adult Day Services Association have designated September 16 – 23, 2007 as National Adult Day Services Week; and

WHEREAS, Sunset Shores Adult Day Health Center in Stratford, Connecticut provides professional and compassionate service to over 80 adults that enables functionally and cognitively impaired adults to receive needed care and services in a community setting; and

WHEREAS, Sunset Shores Adult Day Health Center in Stratford, Connecticut provides a coordinated program of services including restorative and functional maintenance, rehabilitation, skilled and preventative care, and individual and group activities; and

WHEREAS, Sunset Shores Adult Day Health Center in Stratford, Connecticut offers clients an opportunity for enriching educational, therapeutic and social experiences outside the home and provides much-needed assistance and counseling for caregivers and involved others; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby proclaim September 16 – 23, 2007 as Adult Day Seniors Week in the Town of Stratford and urge all residents to honor and celebrate this special week.
