PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, the Honeybear Learning Center, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is celebrating the Week of the Young Child, April 14, 2008 to April 18, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the Honeybear Learning Center is working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children, and to building better futures for everyone in Stratford, Connecticut; and

WHEREAS, all young children and their families across the country and in Stratford, Connecticut deserve access to high-quality early education and care; and

WHEREAS, our community supports the Honeybear Learning Center, for their commitment to high-quality early childhood education as the right choice for Stratford’s children;

NOW THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby proclaim April 14, 2008 to April 18, 2008 as The Week of the Young Child in Stratford, Connecticut and encourage all citizens to support investment in early childhood education.
