Summer is here and the Splash Pad at Longbrook Park is open! The splash pad offers a fun and interactive venue for all children to enjoy. The splash park will be open everyday from 8 am – 7 pm during the peak season (Memorial day to Labor day). The hours of operation will be adjusted as daylight begins to diminish. The beauty of opening a splash park is on hot or even lukewarm days – late spring, summer or fall, the park will remain open to everyone.
The splash park is motion activated by the small pedestal. When the motion sensor is touched or tripped, the water is initiated and goes through roughly a 16 minute sequence of spray features. The features consist of a pelican, daisy flower, frog, popcorn jets, basket jets, circle jets, and a ring of water just to name a few. Come down to Longbrook Park and see the water features in action.
The newly renovated restrooms in the Fieldhouse at Longbrook Park will be open daily while the splash park is open. They will be open from 8 am and will be cleaned and locked every evening at around 8 pm.
