Office of Economic & Community Development

Welcome to the Town of Stratford Office of Economic and Community Development. Our office works to strengthen and improve the economic well-being of Stratford and in turn, the quality of life for our residents.

As the easternmost town in Fairfield County – and one of the most affordable -- Stratford is strategically located on the I-95 corridor, with a fourth full interchange nearing completion. The Town is also in close proximity to Routes 8/25 and the Merritt Parkway, providing access to the entire northeast corridor. Stratford’s Metro North Train Station and the Sikorsky Memorial Airport add to Stratford’s uniquely convenient accessibility.

The presence of major UPS, FedEx and Amazon delivery hubs in Town further enhance Stratford’s distinction as an ideal town in which to do business.

Stratford supports a diverse, thriving and growing base of successful businesses, ranging from the iconic Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company that manufactures sophisticated helicopters for the military and commercial markets to three award-winning craft beer breweries to an abundance of family-owned legacy businesses, all calling Stratford home.

We invite you to learn more about business opportunities in Stratford by contacting our office directly or by visiting Stratford’s main website. For an updated listing of available space, please visit: Available Commercial Space.
